Glenlivet Distillery

One of the attractions of the area I live and work in is that it is home to a large section of the whisky industry in Scotland. There are many places like Glenlivet in seemingly random locations in rural areas - much of it is to do with history, although the more important requirement is the water source - I am lucky enough to work in the industry and I have the opportunity to visit many of these places regularly - I am toying with the idea of doing a series of the many distilleries I get to visit as some of them are in spectacular locations. I think that first I should try to look at them with a different eye rather than treat their presence as a normal part of life here . In any case this is where one of the most famous malt whiskies is created
